![]() Please remember to take care of yourselves! Many of us work crazy hours and it's easy to forget to take care of our health. It's not always possible to take a few weeks off from work, or even a few days. But at least try to set aside a few hours for just you and your peace of mind. If you don't do it for yourself, no one is going to do it for you. I'll be offline for the next couple of weeks and plan to catch up with folks by mid-October. If you need something before then, please use the phone numbers provided at time of previous bookings. Light, Love, and Blessings…..

![]() Dropping by today for a quick scheduling update. I continue to be busy with booked readings. The email and contact options here on my website were removed due to not being able to take on any new clients. I'm also working on a project that requires a lot of my attention. There is a link on here for my chatroom on Oranum. I'm on there whenever I have time but that hasn't been very often. Please feel free to check for me on there from time to time. Wishing all of you a most blessed week! Light, Love, and Blessings….. ![]() This week is being brought you to by The Chariot card along with the beginnings of autumn vibes. The Chariot card is Key No. 7 of the Major Arcana. In the Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) deck, you’ll see it portrayed with a person in a chariot that’s to be pulled by two sphinxes. Make sure you notice there are no visible reins and the sphinxes currently look like they’re taking a break. Also notice that the future badass in the chariot is outside the city walls, not dependent on anyone’s support or direction. The Chariot can announce that a life choice must be made. It’s time to decide what you want, and if you just want it or if you’re truly committed to making it happen. This Chariot can transport you to your goal only as fast as you can keep up, but you have to keep focused on the right things in your life. Remember me mentioning there are no reins for the chariot? That’s because this chariot is truly yourself, your own means of transport, and it’s intended to be driven by your own mental faculties. Your thoughts are truly the reins, the very contents of your own mind, and they will determine where your chariot ends up. It’s important to make a clear decision. Then, enflame your mind with your vision in order to manifest it. Rein in the conflicting activities, stop wasting your energy, stop binge watching yet another television series, and point your energy in the direction you want to drive your life. Dreams begin with making a decision about what it is you truly want and how committed you’re going to be. It’s so easy to become scattered and to self-sabotage our dreams. The Chariot card advises us to refocus, regroup, and to realize that we ultimately determine our own lives by the choices we make on a daily basis. Don’t forget your family, friends, and the other healthy relationships in your life, but don’t forget about the relationship with your own deeper self that hasn’t forgotten the life you want to be living. Grab hold of the reins of your own mind and direct those sphinxes into action! Make that difficult decision you’ve been avoiding. Then get ready for life to change as you allow yourself to move in the direction of your deepest joy. Light, Love, and Blessings….. ![]() Know your boundaries. Realize that access to you is a privilege that can be revoked. How many of us allow toxic people to remain close enough to hurt us, again and again? At what point do we decide to let them go? To cut them out of our lives? That applies to romantic interests, spouses, co-workers, and even family members. I don't believe that anyone has a right to continue hurting us just because they're family. Poisons can come packaged in all sorts of fancy bottles and we can even feel sentimental about some of them. But in the end, the poisons are still toxic and best not to be consumed. Cutting toxic people out of our lives can be painful, especially when it's someone we have been taught to believe has a right to be in our lives, but what is the ultimate cost to ourselves? I think it's less painful to cut them off versus the pain endured in a life of accepted abuse. So, I repeat... Know your boundaries. Realize that access to you is a privilege that can be revoked. Light, Love, and Blessings….. ![]() Last week I posted about The Tower card. It was the card that came up and so I put together some words about it. I was in for a bit of a surprise as that card moved beyond just being blog content and proceeded to guide and reveal the week that followed. On Monday of last week, the day after drawing The Tower, I was in a morning meeting to discuss a major contract I’ve been working with for several years. It was announced that all of the work is now changing, being redefined over the next few months, and people will be moved around to accommodate the necessary changes. Are the changes bad? No, not at all. They’re quite necessary for the planned developments we’ve been talking about for a few years. Nevertheless, the announcement was quite a startling way to begin the week while I was still in the process of caffeinating. The next day I had the deeper realization that everything was shifting, not just outwardly. I realized that I have begun to move in another direction with other projects as well. Things became very clear, illuminated from within just like the lighting struck tower on the card. The Tower card an indeed reveal inner epiphanies and awakenings, not just outwardly shifting events. Let’s skip foward a few days and move to Friday. I went to my car to drive to a meeting and the battery was dead. The Tower card in some situations can indicate issues with electronics. I’ve had it come up for crashing computer systems. On Friday, however, it was the electronics of my car dying as a result of a kaput battery. Of all weeks for it to go out! At that point I began to rediscover my sense of humor. It seemed The Tower card was manifesting itself on different levels in my life over the course of a week. But, thankfully, The Tower seemed to have played out by the time Saturday arrived….. All of this helped to remind me that the cards have multiple dimensions and layers of meaning. Sometimes one level applies in a reading, or perhaps all of them at the same time. I’ve found that the cards can indicate the unfoldment of events. They can also help guide inner transformation and realization. Sometimes that inner work is trigger by the outward events that are revealed and consequently navigated. The cards also help me to remember to keep a sense of humor with everything that happens. The card I drew for the coming week is The Wheel of Fortune. Lots of changes are coming! Keep your head up, stay focused on goals, and never forget to smile and laugh along the way. Light, Love, and Blessings….. ![]() The Tower card popped out this morning as I was shuffling my deck of cards. I usually start each day with my deck and a double espresso because that's just how mornings work for me. And the Tower.... what a great way to start the day. Oy vey! The Tower card displays a tall structure being struck by lightning. The Rider pack has this card as The Tower. The older Tarot de Marseille labels it La Maison Dieu, which translates as "the House/God". Sometimes things fall apart. Sometimes that happens gradually and on some days it seems to happen all at once. Life can be traumatic. Many of us are products of years of trauma. Many times The Tower card indicates a warning that things are about to get rough. This can trigger many of us to shut down, close off, and run for the hills. But, The Tower can be much more. The card is inviting us to wake up and recognize that some things have outgrown their usefulness in our lives and need to be set free. If it crumbles, then it needs to be released. Let it go! Rebuilding can be an incredible opportunity to take what we've learned and make something even more beautiful in our lives. I used to get upset when things fell apart. Now, well, I still do. (I'm not going to pretend like I'm some ascended being that's immune to human experiences!) I get upset but then I move on instead of hanging out in the rubble. If situations are no longer supportive, it's time to let them go. If people have become abusive or simply not supportive, then they too have reached their expiration date in my life. Yes, it hurts. Grieving the loss of situations and people is not fun so just be honest about it. Acknowledge the loss and then get ready for better things. I cringe for a moment when I see The Tower and then prepare for something even greater in my life. The way I look at it, clearing out the rubble means having more room for the really important things. Wishing you a beautiful week! Light, Love, and Blessings….. The picture above is of the Tower card from three different decks that I use. From left to right: Rider Waite Smith (US Games), El Gran Tarot Esoterico (Fournier), and Tarot de Marseille (Camoin/Jodorowsky). ![]() Comfort zones are for sleeping, for taking breaks, and for healing. They’re not where ultimate success is found. If we stay in our comfort zones for too long, we will languish, wither, and our dreams will die. Comfort zones, and the fear of leaving them, serve a purpose. They keep us safe. They are protective mechanisms to keep us from being hurt again, from experiencing loss and disappointment. If you want your ultimate success in life, then you’re going to have to consider acknowledging their roles and then decide to not be ruled by such coping mechanisms that don’t ultimately serve your greater good. The image in the 2 of Wands of the Rider-Waite-Smith deck shows a man holding the world in one hand as he looks out at the world. Sure, it looks like he’s successful and has money. His view is from a higher vantage point than the surrounding buildings but check out where he’s standing…. he’s safe inside his own world. He’s going to have to step out from his comfort zone if he wants to embrace his vision. Sometimes you need to take a chance, move into the fear and uncertainty, and embrace life outside your comfort zone. Light, Love, and Blessings….. ![]() I set goals each year in an effort to keep myself on track. I would never get anything accomplished without some sort self-imposed system of discipline along with my eternal to-do lists. Like many people, I get distracted rather easily. I joke with friends that the world is full of dancing squirrels that keep competing for my attention when there are other things I should really be focusing on. Sound familiar to some of you? I mean, I can’t be the only one living in a world full of distractions. Sometimes I swear those squirrels are working overtime in sequined disco getups, hellbent on keeping me from getting anything done at all. But at the end of the day, I’m the only one responsible for getting things checked off of my to-do lists. Today is the eve of August which is Lammas for some folks that observe old traditions. It’s the day of the First Harvest, bringing in the first crops, taking inventory of progress made and assessing the status of what’s still growing. Our modern farming systems may not be planned by older methods of farming, but I do feel that this is a great time to assess how the year is going for each of us on an individual level. I have really rocked some of my goals for this year, going beyond what I thought I could accomplish. Some of my goals….. not so much. There are some that are lagging and I’m frustrated with their status. I think it’s okay to get frustrated with ourselves as long as we also recognize that we’re still human and just doing our best at any given moment. Get frustrated, get pissed off, but then put a plan in place to get moving and live life fully! I’ve been going over my goals for this year and adjusting my monthly plan of action. It’s good to step back from time to time, give ourselves some much needed praise for accomplishments, and then figure out where to go next. This year isn’t over. There's still huge potential for this to be an incredible revolution around the sun! We can gather in the accomplishments achieved so far, assess the work still to be done, and determine to make the most of the time we still have. It’s never too late to start today. Blessed Lammas for all of us! Light, Love, and Blessings….. ![]() We’re in Leo season and the New Moon later this week on Thursday, July 28th, will also be in Leo. It’s been hot as of late in many places in the world and astrologically things could also be heating up. Leo energy can bring passion, a sense of authority, and a drive to achieve more. Always keep your cool and stay in control of your actions even when you can’t control your emotions. Remember to be kind to one another. Love, Light, and Blessings..... ![]() Sorting out boundaries has come up over and over again for me this past week and for clients in readings. We all have many different boundaries in our lives. There are boundaries at work, in our homes with family members, with significant others and spouses, with friends, and with a multitude of others in our daily lives. Knowing our boundaries is about knowing our value. Here’s a news flash that seems to keep coming up: you will never be for everyone. You’re going to have people that love and support you. There will also be haters and people who seem intent on destroying you. But so what? Keep your boundaries. Know what you’re truly worth and, when necessary, cut loose those people that are not contributing to the greater value and happiness in your life. It’s a difficult lesson for a lot of us. We like having people praising us, liking us, supporting us. There’s nothing wrong with that. Just don’t define your value based on the feelings and actions of others. To repeat it: you will never be for everyone. Focus on the people that “get” you. Focus on the people that understand what you’re doing. Keep people around you that support your dreams, your passions, your laughter, and your core values of happiness. The rest of them….. know when enough is enough. Relationships can be difficult. Correction… relationships ARE difficult if you stay in them long enough. They require ongoing examination, dialogue, redefining them, and making sure you still have the same mutual goals. Sometimes we simply outgrow them. Take care of yourself. Drink enough water, eat the right foods, exercise, and remember your own value. Light, Love, and Blessings….. |
